Box Elder Bug

Box Elder Bug by Ann Tuck, 6"x6" Oil on Canvas
I hear that box elder bugs can be a terrible nuisance, but ever since one kept me company in my office for a winter, I've had a soft spot in my heart for them.  I was nervous that I would accidentally squish him underneath my engineering diagrams, but he was always there to greet me every morning until spring came.

I put this up for auction at DailyPaintworks.com and I shortened the duration to have the auction end on Sunday night for holiday shopping.
