Woodcarving Weekend

I spent my weekend at the John C. Campbell Folk School learning how to carve wood while my husband tried his hand a blacksmithing.

It was a nice excuse to get away for the weekend and learn something new (including contra dancing!).  The meals were great and we enjoyed meeting the other students.

Many thanks to our woodcarving instructor Charlie Leverett who did a fantastic job of teaching.  I really learned a lot.  (And I got through the class without cutting myself!)
